When money is not available for our schools we get victims

This school had been trying to get the money approved for cameras and fences put up for some time, they are scheduled soon but not soon enough for this young lady.  It is a shame that our children are in so  much danger just going to school that we have to have police, cameras and fences put up to protect them from the criminal element.

BUT we can pay a sports figure millions of dollars not to play a game.  What is happening to our society that the value of playing a game is more important then the life and safety of our children.

I can not put my mind around the values people do not have any more.  Why must so many go without while so few have money to waste on totally stupid things like paying someone not to play a game.

Our children are becoming desensitized to violence from music, movies, shows and video games. When are we going to make the producers of this so called entertainment responsible.

STORY HIGHLIGHTS from the Richmond School assault

10 people involved in assault while 10 others watched and offered no help to the victim, police said.

Richmond, California, police say student was gang raped for over two hours

Former student, 19 and another 15-year-old arrested.

Victim, 15 years old, remains in the hospital in stable condition.

Richmond, California (CNN) -- Investigators say as many as 20 people were involved in or stood and watched the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl outside a California high school homecoming dance Saturday night.

Police are offering $20,000 reward on Tuesday for anyone who comes to them with information that helps arrest and convict those involved in what authorities describe as a 2½-hour assault on the Richmond High School campus in suburban San Francisco.

This story makes me sick that no one would help this poor girl, but stood by and took pictures and said nothing.

God help our society, please.
