Good evening Mr. President,
I realize you have very important things to deal with but us at the bottom of the food chain struggle every day to stay alive here in the greatest country in the world, The United States of America.
I was born, grew up, worked 43 years, raised families, volunteered for less fortunate, and deal with three illness'. The state of Michigan took away my Medicaid because they say I make too much money to qualify for the medical insurance. I was having trouble affording healthy food then. This month is even worse. I run out of food at the end of the month, only about 5 days.
I am on medication that I have to have but it looks like I will have to pass on it for the next 7 months, I get Medicare in Oct. 2016.
This is very important to me because I have to decide between food and medical. I cannot buy enough food each month little alone pay for medical bills and medications.
I sent a message regarding my lack of health care to the main email account for the White House but I have not heard back yet. I will not be able to use the health care I can afford to pay for. $7.93 per month, Once I get the insurance I can not afford to use it because the deductible is $6450. I will have to pay before the insurance pays anything.
I have special needs, PTSD from being abused, my husband tried setting me on fire, my daughter died, her children were taken by the state, an ex-male friend knocked me out with his fist and I ended up with 7 stitches in my forehead. My father made me leave home when I was 14 years old, with no place to go.
I also have had Fibromyalgia since 1986 and was diagnosed with Posture Facet Disease this year. I worked as long as I could, the two last years I shouldn't have been driving truck. I suffer in pain every day all day. I suffer from mental issues and anxiety from all of the abuse I have been through since I was 5 years old, I was sexually abused by an adult man in my family. He walked away free to continue his abuse while I have lived with this for 55 years.
Please if you could expedite this request for help I will always be grateful. I make $29 a month too much for any of the agencies that are supposed to be able to help. This month I had to pay for gas for heat and cooking. Now I don't have enough money to finish the month, two weeks before I get a check again. If you can get this to whoever can help me get my Medicaid back will make all the difference for my health care. Food I will just try and figure out, neighbors have said don't run out again to please let them know that I need food.
